Donald W. White is an artist from Edison , Ohio. As a second-generation artist,
Don has always had a passion for drawing and painting. His father was a commercial
artist who took his talents to World War II where he drew maps for the United States
Army. It is from these roots that Donald grew into the artist that he is today.
Born in Marion, Ohio and raised in Uhrichsville, Ohio, Donald took to drawing at
a young age. Raised primarily by his mother after his father's untimely passing,
it was her constant encouragement that kept him in line. As he progressed through
school, Donald used his talents to become an Electrical Engineer. Throughout his
professional career, he has countless numbers of technical drawings to his credit.
It is only recently, however, that he has taken those talents and transferred them
onto the canvass.
From jazz performances, to scenic spots on the beach, to famous sports figures,
Donald's talents are boundless. He has captured images of Pizza Chefs, Jazz club,
stealth fighters, Aruba, and Michael Jordan and brought them to life. Full of vibrant
colors and copious amounts of details, his paintings are truly breath-taking. While
he specializes in oils, Donald also enjoys the challenge of creating images of both
the present and past.
