“Creativity is my joy and watercolors are my love.”
kevin has married his artistic talents with a degree in architecture from The Ohio
State University and professional practice as a retail/interior designer, creating
in watercolor atmospheric landscapes, urban streetscapes, landmark homes and architectural
treasures. Like many creative individuals kevin loves dabbling in a diversity of
artistic endeavors.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, kevin grew up in an energized West Side neighborhood, filled
with lots of kids and youthful fun. He got his art genes from his mother and his
technical genes from his father. kevin’s professional life has always combined right
and left brain challenges and fulfillments. Mufarm is home now, where kevin and
his lovely and very supportive wife, Nancy, enjoy rural life with their many four-footed
“kidz.” Pencil sketches and watercolors of the family pupdogs and katkidz grace
the walls of Mufarm.
kevin’s growing portfolio of nightscape paintings in private collections captures
in paint the magical atmospheres of the Short North, Grandview, Worthington and
other vibrant Columbus communities. Extended employment experiences in The Republic
of South Africa and Australia provided kevin with wonderful opportunities to document
the scenery in paint, ink and pencil.
kevin has dabbled in writing children’s stories, creating and illustrating the yet-t0-be
published Sammy Two Toys , and submitting entries to Cheerio’s “Spoonfuls of Stories”
book competitions. He has also written an unproduced movie screenplay and has created
concepts for cartoons and several greeting card lines.
For kevin, art has taken on an added, special meaning by benefiting select charitable
events and organizations. Since its inception in 1994, kevin has been – and will
continue to be – a contributing artist to the Columbus Aids Task Force “Art for
Life” auction. His pet sketches in ebony pencil have helped in past fund raising
efforts of The Humane Society of Morrow County.
kevin’s heart and art will always be open to such opportunities as he continues
feeding his right brain cravings with his art.
