Both of my parents were artists. Art was all around me. I don’t remember a time
when I wasn’t drawing or making art. As a little girl I had difficulty reading.
Art was my world. Through elementary and high school I took as many art classes
as I could. I graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art and received
my Master’s Degree from Marygrove College.
I then started my own special event design business in Columbus. After eleven years
I was burned out. At that point I decided to teach. That gave me time for my own
family and personal art making. Currently I am the art teacher at Cardington High
School, the Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA) high school chair where I give
presentations annually, and a member of the Dublin Art Guild. My personal studio
is in Cardington where I also offer classes. I am most fulfilled when making art
and try to incorporate art into everything I do.
